Meet Scott Gordon

Scott Gordon has announced his candidacy for Alexandria City Council.  Scott is an experienced insurance professional, helping clients determine how best to protect their families and assets. He has earned the coveted Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) designation from the American Insurance Marketing and Sales Society, has a Business Degree from Marylhurst University and a Masters Degree in Inter-Organizational Psychology from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, VA.

Scott is a loud and proud supporter of Alexandria and especially his Del Ray neighborhood.  Scott and his wife Jennie bought their first house in Del Ray, and recently moved to another Del Ray home to make room for their newly arrived daughter. Alexandria has been Scott's home for nearly a decade and through his experiences as a Board Member for the Del Ray Citizen's Association and an elected member of the Alexandria Sister Cities Commission has seen the good, the bad, and the ugly.

While a card carrying Republican, Scott is also a card carrying member of the ACLU, a member of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, and a supporter of bi-partisan relationship building as a means to affect positive change.

In his spare time, Scott is a Coxswain with Alexandria Community Rowing, a Mountain Climber, Triathlete, and Target Shooter. He's happily married to Jennie Elise Gordon, a Public Servant for Arlington County, and spends every free second he has with his beautiful daughter Elinore Judith.
