Special election! Vote Tuesday, Jan. 13

The 46th House District includes much of central Alexandria (west of Quaker Lane) and the West End, plus the Skyline community in Fairfax County.

The seat is currently vacant, due to the resignation of Brian Moran in Dec. 2008. A special election was held on Jan. 13, 2009, to fill the remainder of that term. The Republican candidate is Joe Murray, who was nominated by a canvass election on Dec. 16 (see more on the special canvass).
