This February, Alexandria Republicans will select new party officers for the next two years, nominate candidates for Mayor and City Council, and also sign up to participate in the 8th Congressional District GOP convention.   • GOP nominee for Mayor or City Council (May 3 election);
  • Delegate to the 8th District Convention (May 20);
  • Chairman of the 8th District Committee (2006-08);
  • GOP nominee for Congress - 8th District (Nov. 7 election)

To file for any ARCC office, City office or District Convention delegate, a voter must submit the appropriate Alexandria filing form(s) to ARCC by mail, along with the applicable filing fee(s). Completed forms must be postmarked no later than Thu., Feb. 16, and sent to ARCC, P.O. Box 245, Alexandria 22314. Candidates for Council or Mayor must also file required forms with the City Elections Office.
