  • inform and assist elected Republican officials.
Join us!
A new City Committee was elected in February 2008 for the 2008-10 cycle. But there are still seats available -- sign up today!

About City Committee. ARCC is the official local organization of the Republican Party of Virginia for the City of Alexandria. Voting members of the Committee are the decision-making body for the local party.

ARCC's authorized size is 120 members (84 elected by precinct, 36 elected at large). Members are elected to the Committee by Republican voters in the spring of even-numbered years for 2-year terms, and additional members may be elected by ARCC during the 2-year term to fill vacancies. Dues are $75 for the two-year cycle.

New members are welcome! We invite you to get to know us. Talk with some of our leaders, read our our by-laws, and attend our next Committee meeting. For more information on ARCC, please contact us or use our online volunteer form.

If you'd like to join, just fill out the official Membership Petition. You may download and print the form (PDF format, ~20 kb), or pick up a copy at the next City Committee meeting.

Meetings. The City Committee usually meets on the first Thursday of the month, 7:30 pm, at Minnie Howard School, 3801 W. Braddock Rd. (see map). ARCC meetings are open to the public. (Check our calendar for a complete list of upcoming events.)
