If you are eligible to vote absentee (see reasons), you may cast your absentee ballot in person. This option allows you to complete the entire absentee voting process in one visit to the City Elections Office, thus eliminating the risk of mail delay. Absentee in-person voting schedule for 2008
In-person absentee voting process is usually simpler than voting absentee by mail. Step #1: Go to the Elections Office and ask for an absentee ballot request form. Step #2: Complete the request form at the office and submit it. You'll get your absentee ballot (or access to a voting machine) on the spot. Step #3: Complete the ballot in the office and submit it.
