2012 Preview
Campaign 2012
We expect an exciting – and busy – election year in 2012. Republican presidential hopefuls are continually at the top of the news. Virginia’s primary will be on so-called “Super Tuesday:” March 6, 2012. Pertinent dates (voter registration deadlines, absentee ballot applications) are available here.
But we’ll see much more than the presidential elections in 2012. Virginia will elect a new US Senator and Virginia’s 8th District will elect its Representative to the US Congress. And Alexandria will elect its City Council and other local officials.
Information about all the 2012 races will be posted on the web site as it becomes available.
Getting Ready for the 2012 Elections Starts at the Monthly ARCC Meeting on December 1
Getting ready for the 2012 election starts with the December meeting of the Alexandria Republican City Committee (ARCC). As always, the meeting is on the first Thursday of the month - December 1 - at the Minnie Howard School on West Braddock Road. ARCC members, volunteers who helped out on Election Day earlier this month, and Alexandria Republicans who want to get involved in the 2012 elections should attend.
Now is the time to start working towards real change in Alexandria through election of Republicans to the City Council, the U.S. Congress and Senate, and the Presidency. To bring about change, your help is needed.
Starting at 7:00 PM on December 1, there will be a Meet 'n Greet in the school foyer, followed at 7:30 PM by the regular monthly ARCC meeting in the adjacent auditorium.
UPDATE: Because of a one time only conflict the December meeting of the Alexandria Republican City Committee (ARCC) and the pre-meeting Meet & Greet has been moved to the Minnie Howard school cafeteria located on the ground floor, which can be reached from the entrance next to the parking lot near the playing fields on the east side of the school
Looking forward to seeing you there!
